Our featured wine of the week:
Our featured wine of the week is the new 2007 Mt. Defiance Wine Co. “Hellfire” White Blend. Here’s a delicious white blend made from fruit from Oak Ridge and Celilo vineyards in the Columbia River Gorge – This wine is a blend of Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer & Chardonnay and displays lovely ripe apple and pear notes with a rich mouthfeel and notes of honeysuckle spice and soft citrus on the finish. A perfect wine to sip and enjoy with fresh seafood.

  • Voted by NW Travel Magazine March 2006 - “Best fully-stocked wine bar”.

  • Northwest Travel magazine featured us in the Winemaker’s Dinner article on page 11.

  • The Cellar on 10th has found it's spotlight in the November 15th, 2005 issue of the national Wine Enthusiast magazine in their wine calendar (page 18) for the Ken Wright Cellars Dinner.

  • The Cellar on 10th has been informed that it is the recipient of a 2005 Outstanding Northwest Wine List Award from Wine Press NW. The best northwest wine list competition results were just published in the fall edition of Wine Press NW magazine. The Cellar on 10th has moved up from its 2004 Outstanding Oregon Wine List Award to the "big daddy" of them all, the Outstanding Northwest Wine List Award.

  • The following is the article that appears in the magazine:
    OUTSTANDING NORTHWEST WINE LISTS
The Cellar on 10th, Astoria, Ore.
MIKE WALLIS' restaurant and cellar sits at the mouth of the Columbia, and the list runs as the Columbia does, seemingly with Washington and Oregon representations split down the middle. Those looking for current vintages certainly won't be disappointed. There are seven from Barnard Griffin on top of eight from Beaux Freres. Near the bottom, Winter's Hill is followed by Woodward Canyon. There's also B.C. representation with ice wines from Mission Hill and Inniskillin.

  • Recipient of 2004 Outstanding Oregon Wine List Award from Wine Press NW.
