Our featured wine of the week: Librandi 2015 Cirò Rosato (Italy) - Cirò Rosato is made from 100% Gaglioppo grapes. This delicious Rose` is deep coral-pink in color with delicate red berry, floral, and spicy aromas. Cirò Rosato is flavorful and perfectly balanced on the palate. If you’re a red wine lover, then this if your rose’. Recommended Food Pairings: Perfect pairing for antipasti, grilled fish, mildly spicy dishes or enjoy on its own.

New NW Arrival...

  • Woodward Canyon 2013 Artist Series #22 Cabernet Sauvignon – This enticing and deeply colored red wine shows a complex nose of baking spice, black olive and graham integrated beautifully with aromas of ripe black fruits. In the mouth, the wine is rich and elegant, showing subtle notes of herb and blackberry. Integrated tannins enhance the texture and give proportion, the finish is complex, generous and long. While the wine can be enjoyed now, it will benefit greatly from additional cellaring and with proper stage should develop for ten years or more.

  • Woodward Canyon 2014 Nelms Road Merlot – 2nd label from Woodward Canyon. Deep flavors of black cherry, red berries and baking spice. Complex aromas of roasted meat, black olive and tobacco integrate, leading to a soft generous finish.

  • Woodward Canyon 2014 Nelms Road Cabernet Sauvignon – Enticing aromas of ripe black fruits, exotic spices, tobacco and black olive. In the mouth, the wine offers firm blackberry fruit, ripe mature tannins and a long generous finish.

  • Lemelson Vineyards 2015 Tikka’s Run Pinot Gris – Aromas of papaya, quince and Moroccan mint combined with notes of wet stone and toasted almond. The palate is full and creamy, offering a delicate balance between kiwi, subtle spice and juicy acidity.

  • Beaux Freres 2014 Beaux Freres Vineyard Pinot Noir – ­The nose is of fresh red Oregon fruits & berries, a cherry aromatic is supported by more cola spice and a touch of subtle oak. ­This is a finesse styled Beaux Freres. Medium bodied with light-sweet tannins, very good purity and depth. Will cellar for many years.

  • Beaux Freres 2014 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir – Juicy strawberry and bright cherry fruit on the nose. Aromatic intrigue is heightened by the slight damp earth and warm spice components. The fruit follows through on the velvety textured palate. A great balance of fruit purity and a hedonistic lushness.

New International Arrivals...

  • Antinori 2013 Marchese Chianti Reserve (Italy) – Aromas of ripe red fruit, with perceptible notes of wild cherries, tobacco, leather and spices. The initial palate sensations are very soft and with an excellent balance between tannins and acidity. The finish is richly flavorful and pleasurable and is quite tasting and sustained.

  • Tomaresca 2013 Neprica (Italy) – A blend of Negromaro, Primitivo and Cabernet Sauvignon. Notes of fresh plums and cherries under spirits, roses, licorice and chocolate. It has a good structure which is soft and elegant with a savory mineral note. The notes of the red fruit return on the lengthy finish. Great everyday value.

Be sure to check out our selection of Riedel wine glasses and decanters. Each glass is made specifically for each grape varietal. We carry both white and red varietal glasses.

    The following is the article that appears in the magazine:
    The Cellar on 10th, Astoria, Ore.; MIKE WALLIS' restaurant and cellar sits at the mouth of the Columbia, and the list runs as the Columbia does, seemingly with Washington and Oregon representations split down the middle. Those looking for current vintages certainly won't be disappointed. There are seven from Barnard Griffin on top of eight from Beaux Freres. Near the bottom, Winter's Hill is followed by Woodward Canyon. There's also B.C. representation with ice wines from Mission Hill and Inniskillin.
